IN THE KITCHEN

She was carried in the same womb for nine months
She came the same way as the male child
She grew up the same as the male child
Studied, does what He can do
She got a qualification

And got married,
Then why should she end in the kitchen

A man works, a woman does too
But the man still expects her to prepare a meal for him
after a hectic day
Even when her work is more stressful
She still has to visit the kitchen
To make sure he has his belly full
 and still, don't care
But why must she end in the kitchen

Some men are even callous
 to the extent of asking for a time-consuming food
She still has to do that with all her strength and love
Still, with no appreciation, some will still complain
That the food isn't satisfactory enough
Some will ask for one type of food
And reject it to request for another
Must she really end in the kitchen
