OUR RIGHT

Election day
A day that determine the fate of four years
The day where the citizen chooses their destiny

By voting a leader of their choice
A day where citizen display their utmost right
As genuine member of the nation
A day that determines the future of Unborn Children

Election day
When fellow citizen rights are been sold for money
When citizen sells their birthright for the material thing
Exchange their future and that of their generation to come for vanities
When citizen vote for the sake of ethnicity, tribalism, and religion
When citizen fight their brethren because of someone who cares about himself alone
When peaceful coexistence turn war among fellow neighbors


 But why do we make it seems like we are fighting a war
Why can't we just make the election a free and fair one
Why must the citizen be scared of casting their vote for the leader of their choice
Can't we just display our indigenous right in a peaceful way
Why must we always risk the lives of our children
Why must we put the future of our youth in danger

My heart skips anytime I hear its election time
Because I'm scared of losing a brother, a sister or a friend
Let us all unite and make election worth its function
Because after the election are, we not going to sit and merry again?
Are we not going to celebrate and welcome the newborn?
We are one and we should act like one in unity and love.
